An Ace is cut as shown...

and taped onto the Eight of Clubs ...

then folded back to form a flap.

Your Message Card is placed behind this flap as shown below ...

... and is then covered by another card.

When anyone removes the center card ... they will be taking Your Message Card instead of the Ace.

After the middle card is removed, you can show you have only the two Eights left ...



... by simply sliding the Eight of Spades over until it covers the Ace-flap.
