EFFECT: The spectator thinks of any number from 1 to 100. You hand him a group of seven cards and ask him to return each card on which his number appears. You never fail to magically discover the selected number.
METHOD: This effect is easy to do. Add the numbers in the upper left hand corner of the cards returned. For example, if the spectator's number is 41, he will return cards 32, 8, and 1 (32 + 8 + 1 = 41). The trick is based on a mathematical principle called a binary sort and will work for any number between 1 and 100.
IDEAS: You can have a spectator think of their age, or count the number of coins in their pocket and think of the last tow digits of the total. That is, if the total is $1.38, have the spectator think of 38.
Other ideas include having a spectator think of the last two digits in the year they were born, or the middle two numbers of their Social Security number.
Remember the number must be between 1 - 100.
